Missions at JFBC

Operation Christmas Child

Thank you to all that brought shoeboxes for OCC this year.

The church collected 119 boxes to send off to precious children around the world, that they might open a tangible gift of God’s love this Christmas.

The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift Begins with You
and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication.

Christmas Backpacks

Christmas backpacks will go to kids in the Mississippi River area who are among some of the poorest in the U.S.
Sponsored by the JFBC WMU, Alabama Baptist Convention State Board of Missions and WMU Alabama.
Thank you to all who give towards this ministry!

Churchwide Opportunities:

Loving Jasper During the Holidays

In November and December 2019 Jasper’s First Baptist Church collected items to give to the Walker County Coalition for the Homeless.  We requested new blankets, hand warmers, protein bars, shave cream, small packs of Kleenex, new socks, men’s deodorant, and new black backpacks.  Thank you so much for your generosity!

JFBC participated in Operation Thanksgiving at the Jasper Civic Center.  This ministry involves several sister churches coming together to feed our community on Thanksgiving Day. This includes preparation, meal delivery and serving meals at the Civic Center.

On December 6, JFBC hosted a Kids Night Out to help 9 local Foster Families.  JFBC Adult and Youth leaders volunteered to give 40 children an evening of fun and fellowship in our Family Life Center.
